One of the biggest spectacles in Sports Entertainment known as Wrestlemania is over and what a show it was. 76,976 filled the Levi’s Stadium in the San Francisco Bay Area, to see their favorite WWE superstars battle for supremacy.
Dean Ambrose Takes a Nasty Bump
The 7-man intercontinental Championship Ladder Match was the first official match of Wrestlemania 31 and what a chaotic and violent match it was. This match was filled with epic spots and bumps from the get go like Dean Ambrose hitting a diving elbow drop off a ladder onto the six other competitors outside the ring. Or when BNB (Bad News Barrett) took a nasty bump when he suplexed Stardust off a ladder in the ring. The best moment of this match has to be when Luke Harper Powerbombed Dean Ambrose out of the ring through a propped ladder outside the ring. Ambrose was seen grabbing his head as a referee rushed over to assist him. The bump was very nasty and took Ambrose out of the match permanently.
Randy Orton and Seth Rollins had a great match last night, There was great ring chemistry between the two, with a lot of back and forth action. There were awesome moments in this match like when Seth Rollins attempted to hit Randy with the Phoenix Splash of the top rope but missed and when Randy RKO’s Joey Mercury coming of the top rope. Randy closes this match with is probably his best RKO to date. Seth closes in for the curb stomp and Randy pushes Seth’s foot off the back of his neck, launching him in the air then hitting the RKO while Seth is in mid-air for the pin.
DX vs NWO
During Sting vs Triple H we got the chance to see the showdown wrestling fans have been dying to see since the Monday Night Wars. D-Generation X and nWo finally clashed after all these years in a final battle to permanently close the WWE vs WCW chapter once and for all. It was amazing to see all of these iconic wrestlers in a WWE ring at once. Triple did get the pin over sting after nailing him with his trademark sledgehammer. After the bell, the two factions stood across from each other then showed some respect towards each other.
Ronda Rousey & The Rock Send The Authority Running
The Rock and UFC fighter Ronda Rousey destroyed Stephanie Mcmahon and her husband Triple H after the couple tried to remove The Rock from the building. The Rock said he can’t put his hands on a woman but he knows someone that will. The Rock then escorts Ronda into the ring from the crowd and a stand off begins. Stephanie began to badmouth Ronda and then tells her to leave the ring. The Rock punches Triple H in the face who was then Judo flipped out of the ring by Ronda. Stephanie tries to slap her but then Rhonda grabs Stephanie by the arm. Stephanie begs Ronda to let her go before being thrown out of the ring.
Seth Rollins Cashes In & Wins WWE World Heavyweight Championship!
Seth Rollins’s Money in the bank cash in last night might just top Edge’s cash in back at New Year’s Revolution in 2006. Towards the end of a violent and bloody match between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar, Reigns looked like he was about to close in on Brock Lesnar when Seth’s music hits. Seth then rushes to the ring and hands his briefcase to the referee adding him to the main event making it a triple threat match. Seth quickly kicks an already beaten Roman Reigns out of the ring and then curb stomps Lesnar. Reigns gets back in the ring and Seth curb stomps him for the 1, 2, 3. Despite losing his match against Orton earlier in the night, the architect and future of the WWE was able to secure the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
