Please take this as a rumour: apparently, Final Fantasy VII will be coming exclusively to the PlayStation 4 and this time it’s not a port of the classic PS One game.
Update: It’s true! Final Fantasy 7 Remake has in fact been confirmed via Sony’s E3 2015 press conference. No release date is yet announced, though it’s likely we’ll see the game land in 2017 to fit in line with the original’s 20th anniversary.
According to credible gaming site Siliconera, the game will be fully remastered from the ground up and will use a modern art style similar to Final Fantasy: Advent Children, Final Fantasy: Dissidia and Final Fantasy XIII. This game is supposed to be made for the 20th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII. If this rumor is true, a lot of gamers will rejoice because this is one of the most popular, requested game remakes ever.
