Another year, another straight-to-video animated Batman film. With so many in recent years, from the dreadful Batman and Son to the more original Assault on Arkham, Batman: Bad Blood manages to fall right in the middle, and may be indicative of these movies as a whole with its mediocrity.
Originally intending to do a list on some of the coolest looking batsuits worn throughout the years, my research lead me to a very startling conclusion. Some of these things are just nuts. And so I’ve decided to chronicle some of the silliest and just straight up confusing suits worn by Batman, or any who’ve attempted to take his name over the years.
Toronto is home to many misfits, but perhaps none are as celebrated as The Human Lizard. Just over a year ago, Toronto comic book artist Jason Loo independently launched The Pitiful Human Lizard thanks to the positive support of fans on KickStarter. Recently I had a chance to hear Loo speak about his motivation to keep his comic independent, his history with the Human Lizard himself, and the notion of Toronto as its own character in the story.
